communication, technical writing and presentation
skills, as well as solid problem solving abilities and
the desire to learn new skills and gain new experience.
Prospective internship students should also be
self-starting, goal-oriented team players who
demonstrate leadership capabilities and understand
practical business principles.
What types of positions are available?
Baker Hughes has several internship opportunities
available for university students. Those opportunities
include, but are not limited to, Region Engineering
Internships, Junior Field Engineer Internships, and
Design Engineer Internships.
How Can I learn more about the Baker Hughes
Internship Program?
- Register at your school's career center and submit your
resume to the Baker Hughes internship position in which
you are interested.
- After submitting your resume, you may be pre-selected to
join Baker Hughes for an interview. During the interview
session, you will meet with an HR representative and/or
an engineer who will tell you more about Baker Hughes
and interview you based on your chosen position.

Eligibility
To qualify for an internship with Baker Hughes, students
must be:
- Enrolled in a full time engineering, math, or science
program (Student should be enrolled a minimum of 9 hours
in each of the Fall and Spring semesters to be
considered a full-time student; summer enrollment not
required).
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree from an accredited
college or university.
- In “good standing” with the college or university. That
is, not on probation and carry at least an 2.8 grade
point average overall and at least a 2.8 in his/her core
engineering curriculum.
