Executive Bios
Russ Cancilla is Vice President and Chief Security Officer, Health, Safety, Environment and Security for Baker Hughes Incorporated. He was appointed to the role in 2009 after serving for nearly three years as the global oilfield service company’s Chief Security Officer. Prior to joining Baker Hughes, Cancilla worked for Innovene as Vice President and Chief Security Officer. He also has worked at BP as Vice President, Resources & Capabilities for Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) and Vice President, Real Estate and Management Services. In 1991, Cancilla worked at the White House as the Military Aide (Executive Assistant) to the President of the United States and was later appointed as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service, U.S. Department of Commerce. Cancilla’s undergraduate degree is in Criminology and his graduate degree is in Operations Management. He is an alumni of the FBI National Academy Executive Program at Quantico, VA.
