Vocational Schools in Kazakhstan

Baker Hughes partnered with the U.S. Agency for International Development to support the Know About Business (KAB) course at vocational schools in Kazakhstan. This program is designed to encourage the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in Kazakhstan through business and entrepreneurial training. The International Labor Organization created KAB to increase the preparation and employment opportunities for students pursuing vocational education, and has established a record of success using this model in more than 20 countries. By year-end 2010, the program will train over 400 teachers and reach 100,000 Kazakhstani vocational students in all sixteen administrative districts of the country.
