HOUSTON, TEXAS - August 10, 2011 - Baker Hughes (NYSE: BHI) and Intertek (ITRK.L) are expanding the global reach of a successful alliance established to provide chemical additives and treatment services for fuels, petroleum products and crude oil cargos.
The alliance of the parties' business and operations management; technical, laboratory and field additive technicians; and sales and marketing functions are in place in most of the Western Hemisphere as well as Europe and Asia. Baker Hughes and Intertek have established cargo additive operations serving ports in the U.S.; Panama; the Bahamas; St. Eustatius, Netherlands Antilles; Rotterdam, the Netherlands; and Singapore. Additional joint operation centers are planned to further expand capabilities in other global areas.
