CRT 350 Casing Running Tool

Take casing to total depth in extended-reach directional wells and horizontal wells

The CRT 350 tool from Baker Hughes represents a dramatic improvement for safety and efficiency in the running of casing. It is particularly effective in getting casing to total depth in extended-reach directional wells.

The CRT 350 tool, connected directly to the topdrive main shaft, hoists and lowers casing, spins in and makes up the casing connection. Additionally, while reciprocating and rotating the casing string, the CRT can fill up and circulate to 5,000 psi (34.5 MPa).

The tool eliminates the need for a stabber. The CRT 350 tool, which includes the latching and unlatching of the automated single joint elevator, is remotely controlled. A filling and circulating device is incorporated into the tool, eliminating the need for a separate fill and circulate tool.

Baker Hughes also provides its Salvo™ torque turn system to monitor and record each connection makeup in conjunction with a wireless torque sub.
