Baker Hughes ESPs Increased Run Life 400% for Arizona Water Department

Increased uptime and lowered intervention costs by USD 120,000

A municipal water customer in Arizona was using a competitor’s electrical submersible pumping (ESP) equipment for a well. The competitor’s equipment failed repeatedly and the longest run life was approximately six months. Baker Hughes was contacted by this municipal water customer when the well could only operate for about six months without failure.

Engineers from Baker Hughes gathered well data, reviewed the application, and designed a municipal water system with Baker Hughes ESP components.
