Vision Services Optimized Field Production
Baker Hughes Helped Increase Revenue Almost USD 1 MillionToo Much Downtime
A California operator recompleted an idle well to expand field production but experienced difficulty keeping the well running and meeting the expected payout objectives.
A majority of the wells in this field used across-the-line starters and relied on fluid level shots to determine production potential. However, the extremely high fluid gas content in this well made it very difficult to determine a correct fluid level over the pump.
Higher Productivity
Baker Hughes installed its Vision Webbased well monitoring service, including a Centinel downhole sensor and the Electrospeed 3 VSD, to help operate the well more efficiently. The Vision service was used to analyze the operating data acquired by the Centinel downhole sensor.
The analysis showed that there was sufficient pump intake pressure, and the intake pressure would start to rise just before a shutdown, indicating gas locking.
