Rotary Sidewall Coring

Evaluate your reservoir accurately with rotary sidewall core samples

Rotary sidewall coring enables you to acquire undamaged core samples for accurate reservoir evaluation. Sidewall coring can be conducted when conventional, full-diameter coring is unfeasible or when coring intervals have been missed or overlooked.

We use a computer-controlled, electronically powered coring device via wireline to cut 1-in. diameter or 1.5-in plug samples from the wellbore. A maximum of 60 samples can be taken per run at separate intervals specified by the operator.

These formation plug samples are suitable for a wide range of rock properties tests for reservoir evaluation, including storage capacity and flow potential.
