The Baker Hughes MaxCOR™ service is the fast, efficient technology for acquiring high-quality 1.5-in. core samples that enable accurate reservoir evaluation and maximized hydrocarbon recovery. Our rotary sidewall cores have 225% more volume per unit length compared with 1-in. core samples.

We can retrieve 60 cores reliably during a single trip in a variety of operating conditions.

The MaxCOR service recovers a much larger core sample in comparable time required to deploy conventional rotary sidewall coring tools.

And don’t worry about high pressure or high temperature because we have you covered. Our coring efficiency is consistent even in hostile environments up to 400 deg. F [204 deg. C] and up to 25,000 psi [172 MPa].

You can also depend on MaxCOR technology when you’re working in unconventional reservoirs, such as shale plays. Our high-quality shale core samples enable you to more accurately characterize complex shale reservoirs with routine and special core analysis.

And in deepwater, this solution is setting a higher standard. Offshore Brazil, we recovered 94 cores with 100% core recovery efficiency. In a second exploration area, we successfully acquired 54 cores in two runs with a 30-core tube configuration. These were the first successful large-diameter sidewall coring field tests in Brazil deepwater.
