Place casing shoes accurately

The ZoneTrak G sub is positioned just above the BHA's rotary steerable system for quicker target zone acquisition. This lets you accurately place a casing shoe or start a core run as close as possible to the formation top. The ZoneTrak G tool yields desired data sooner than conventional formation evaluation services.

Maximize reservoir exposure

The ZoneTrak G near-bit gamma measurement offers earlier notice the formation has changed and identifies the key zone on the gamma signature. By identifying a target formation shortly after penetration, you can maximize the productive reservoir length by reducing cased-off intervals.

You can also detect troublesome formations early so you can stop drilling immediately, preventing wellbore stability problems. You'll know salt entry and exit sooner so you can be ready for changing drilling conditions.

Enable geostopping capability in varied applications

The ZoneTrak G sub's rapid formation identification offers geostopping capability compatible with the 9 1/2-in. AutoTrak G3™ rotary closed-loop system, AutoTrak X-treme™ drilling system, or AutoTrak eXpress™ rotary steering drilling system. The tool operates in oil-based and water-based muds in hole sizes ranging from 12 1/4 in. to 18 1/4 in. [311 mm to 464 mm].
