The Baker Hughes OptiPort™ multistage fracturing system saves you time and money with optimized hydraulic fracing. The system eliminates rig up and rig down between stages and enables more efficient fluid use.

This efficient hydraulic fracing solution allows virtually an unlimited number of frac stages with our patent-pending OptiPort collars. This approach allows tighter spacing between stages that result in accurate frac treatments for greater reservoir conductivity and increased production.

The collars, which are run in hole similar to a standard openhole completion system, are isolated using cement or openhole packers. The collars are pressure balanced; they can only be opened by a coiled-tubing deployed BHA. After fracturing, there’s no need for millout since the collars are fullbore. 

The BHA locates and enables the opening of the collars. The BHA lets you monitor the frac pressure in real time so you can adjust the treatment on the fly. The monitoring also can help you prevent screenout. If there’s a screenout, you can recover quickly by circulating down the coiled tubing.
