CENtrilift™ ESP motors lead the industry in reliability and run time to minimize lifting costs. We started with industry-proven ESP motor technology and added design enhancements to provide extended run life in harsh downhole conditions.

In response to increasingly challenging technical and economic environments, Baker Hughes has redesigned the CENtrilift Xtreme Performance™ (XP) series motors and performed exhaustive in-house reliability testing at the Baker Hughes Artificial Lift Research and Technology Center (ALRTC) to ensure the motors stand up to the most demanding downhole conditions.

The CENtrilift XP 450 and 562 series ESP motors are the industry’s only induction motors with epoxy encapsulated windings and end turns, which improves motor thermal properties and electrical integrity. In harsh downhole conditions the epoxy encapsulation dramatically improves motor reliability compared to industry standard varnish coated windings. The CENtrilift XP motor’s high-performance stator and rotor design, along with a proven bearing system, improve the electrical and mechanical performance to provide more efficient and reliable operations in challenging operating environments. High performance rotors increase efficiency ratings to more than 84%. The motor head features an enhanced insulating block rated to 450°F (232°C) conductor temperature and a high-strength shaft for greater horsepower capacity.
