Improved production at lower cost

We’ve expanded our reservoir capabilities with several acquisitions that will support the GeoMarkets with total-asset solutions. These include an integrated product and solution offering, such as well construction, an improved production system, a revised field development plan, field management project, or an enhanced oil recovery project.

This integrated approach, which is enabling increased technology deployment, improves execution, improves production, and increases recovery at lower cost.

Increasing energy demand

We’ll see active deepwater drilling activity increasing over the next 12 months. The 2009 economic situation had minimal effect on these projects with very few postponed or delayed. Our customer’s investments and commitments are based on long-term macroeconomics.

Asia-Pacific’s regional energy demands are solid. The region has two-thirds of the global population. As of last year, Malaysia was the only net oil exporting country in the region. China GDP will grow by almost 9% in 2010 as it has for the last 10 years. The velocity of the economic expansion will require energy.
