Enhancing reservoir performance through experience and advancements

As operators continue to push the boundaries in deep water exploration, we've led the way with several key technologies, including:

  • Baker Hughes bits and metal-to-metal seals, optimizing drilling performance
  • AutoTrak™ X-treme directional drilling system for high torque environments, allowing for maximum reservoir contact from fewer platforms
  • Advanced formation sampling, vertical resistivity, and mineralogy, providing superior characterization
  • Multilaterals and Intelligent Well Systems, maximizing production
  • Production chemicals, increasing the life of the well and improving production rates
  • Center for Technology Innovations (CTI), providing industry-leading HP/HT technologies, including completions equipment, drilling fluids, and evaluation techniques in extreme temperature environments
  • Reservoir technology and consultation, providing evaluation, design and geological modeling throughout the life cycle of the reservoir from planning to abandonment

Black Sea Opportunities

The growing demand for energy and the need to replace declining production in conventional reserves continues to prompt exploration in unconventional formations and locations. Vast areas of the Black Sea remain largely unexplored as access to this region has historically been inaccessible or uneconomical.

Improved infrastructure and political stability have placed the Black Sea at the forefront of opportunities for potentially huge discoveries. Current deep water exploration by national oil companies and super-majors is being closely watched because the region has the potential to become “the next North Sea.”

When rig costs approach $1 million a day, there is no margin for error. Safety, flawless execution, and data accuracy are paramount for our clients.

When a major international oil company recently embarked on a wildcat deep water exploration well in the Eastern Turkey Black Sea, we provided directional drilling, logging-while-drilling, drilling fluids, and wireline services.

We have a proven track record and have developed technologies that serve deep water markets around the world. To support ongoing operations in the European region, we are expanding our footprint in Romania and Turkey. We currently offer our full range of services including reservoir consultancy, drilling, evaluation, and completion and production applications.
