HSE
Step Change in Safety, a UK health and safety industry group, is studying human factors and their role in the root cause of serious oil and gas industry incidents.
A step change work group is developing guidelines and other tools for the industry to manage these human factors.
As an active member of the work group, our HSE team has been applying the lessons learned to increase rigsite safety. We’re presenting workshops at customers’ locations to support their understanding of these human factors and the importance of creating a safe workplace across the industry.
Exceeding expectations
We’re also working diligently to exceed our customers’ HSE expectations. We successfully met several compliance initiatives recently.
In Italy, we passed the ISO 9001:2008, the Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2004, the Environmental Management System, and Surveillance Audit without incident.
An independent contractor audited our Surface Logging Services (SLS) at one of our customers’ rigsites. The auditor reviewed our HSE management system and compliance with country regulations. SLS passed the audit without incident, receiving positive customer feedback.
At another rigsite, the auditor reviewed our HSE management system and compliance with country regulations specific to our directional drilling and MWD services. These services passed the audit without incident, receiving positive customer feedback.
