Deepwater answers
We deploy drilling and evaluation systems focused on well construction performance that save drilling time and, ultimately, optimize your operation cost. Proven drilling systems combine bit systems, the BHA, and drilling fluids, yielding optimum drilling performance in difficult deepwater formations.
We’re positioned as a prime technology and operations partner for Brazil’s key deepwater basin operations. We deploy intelligent well systems designed for deepwater, subsea artificial-lift systems, instrumentation, and chemical treatment and injection systems that address complex offshore environments.
Unconventional and heavy oil solutions
You need the most accurate technologies and know-how to find and extract heavy oil. With Latin America having the largest number of heavy oil fields globally, we’ve made significant technology investments for finding, extraction, and processing heavy oil.
Integrated operations management
For field development project management, we offer top-of-the-line technologies and highly experienced personnel. In the challenging formations of Mexico’s Litoral de Tabasco offshore development, the national oil companies (NOCs) recognize our successful project management skills for difficult well construction prospects.
In the Aceite Terciario del Golfo (ATG) basin, also in Mexico, we’re executing the ATG field lab project to test new technologies. These technologies include initial reservoir characterization, well design, and well construction and production. Experts in specific areas are solving field complexities.
Mature fields revitalization
Operators from Argentina to Mexico are experiencing production declines in mature fields. We look at the whole field challenge and work on the most viable solution. Our Colombia operation leads the way in Latin America using thru-tubing rotary drilling (TTRD) technology to reenter existing wells without having to pull the completion to drill an in-fill sidetrack.
Complete water management
Excess water production—a result of poor volumetric sweep efficiency—raises water handling, treatment, and disposal costs while signaling valuable reserves are being bypassed. Ultimate recovery will be reduced. Combining our product technology strengths, we’ll help you diagnose the source of excess water, develop a water management strategy, and deploy the correct mechanical or chemical solution to maximize asset value.
Exploration uncertainty reduced
New hydrocarbon frontiers—such as Brazil’s presalt plays—make Latin America a vibrant exploration region. A key focus for operators is reducing uncertainty surrounding exploration targets and analysis programs.
We’re at the exploration forefront in more than half of Brazil’s deepwater presalt exploration wells. Our wireline and drilling technologies—especially for vertical well exploration—reduce uncertainty.
