We have operations centers and engineering offices in all of Latin America’s major hydrocarbon basins. We’re strategically locating our operations centers where you need them. As new exploration areas open, we’re working to match the operational need.
During the last two years in Latin America, we’ve placed new offices strategically throughout Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, and Brazil. We’re finding this partnership is reducing our response time and improving logistics.
Reduce cycle time with local manufacturing and repair centers
In five Latin American countries, we’ve established manufacturing facilities to optimize logistics and tailor cost-effective solutions for local needs. Our operations facilities are supported by repair/maintenance centers for drilling and evaluation tools; also, we have laboratories for production chemicals and drilling fluids. This extensive presence means we have reliable services to enhance your project effectiveness. In all, we’re improving overall response and performance with reduced cycle time.
Solve local problems with local R&D facilities
Our Rio de Janeiro Technology Center will focus on applications unique to regional hydrocarbon production, including reservoir characterization, drilling optimization, well completions, and production. We’ll work closely with local clients to define problems and deliver locally developed solutions to address issues.
We’ve signed a cooperation agreement with Petrobras for well, reservoir, and oil lifting and offloading R&D. This agreement, which calls for the opening of the Rio de Janeiro Technology Center in 2010, also focuses on projects to address Brazil’s presalt reservoir challenges. With this agreement, our collaboration agreements with local universities will bring in local talent to address local problems.
