HSE
Working with a leading drilling contractor, we have created a HSE alliance to share best practices, lessons learned, and recommended operating procedures.
We’ll cross train our personnel at all levels of responsibilities, establishing and promoting mutually beneficial HSE-related guidance during oilfield operations.
We were chosen by the drilling contractor after a careful review of all the service companies it works with globally. The decision was based on our HSE programs and initiatives, our global HSE performance, and ability to efficiently implement these efforts into an alliance.
Reducing risk with process safety
We’ve renewed our efforts to focus on process safety, which includes the prevention of catastrophic process events, such as explosions, major fires, or toxic releases at a manufacturing facility. A team has drafted a charter describing the process safety foundations of leadership, management system, culture, and knowledge and awareness.
Process safety is associated with the prevention of catastrophic process events that could result during facility operations. These events could have serious consequences for human health or the environment inside or outside the facility.
This differs from personal safety, which considers hazards such as slips, falls, cuts, chemical exposure, and vehicle accidents that usually affect one individual worker.
Senior managers are committed to increasing process safety awareness throughout the organization; we’re raising the profile to the same level given to personal safety.
