Baker Hughes, a GE company, has a new site. Want to see how we’re inventing smarter ways to bring energy to the world?
You can rely on us when you’re working in the oil sands. We’ll collaborate with you to determine the right pumps, meters, gauges, and chemical treatment programs so you can work efficiently in this high-temperature environment. Our oil sands teams are experts in developing and designing a customized solution, optimizing and tracking well performance, and maximizing bitumen production with minimal downtime.
The Centrilift CENtigrade extreme-temperature ESP system—rated above 482 deg. F [250 deg. C]—is the world’s first field-proven technology for steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) wells. Using this electrical submersible pumping system, there’s a corresponding reduction in the steam-oil ratio. The extended run life reduces downtime, intervention, and operating cost.
We have recorded more than 52,500 run days with our extreme-temperature ESP system in the Canada Athabasca oil sands.
High-pressure, high-temperature oil sands technology
We accurately measure downhole pressure and temperature with the only fiber-optic technology designed for ultrahigh temperature. Now, you can ensure the optimal operation of subsurface equipment in your tar sands projects.
For fluid separation and water treatment challenges at the surface, our chemical additives and application experts work with you to manage operational, mechanical, and chemical programs to eliminate bottlenecks and inefficiency. This will reduce CAPEX and OPEX.
