Baker Hughes, a GE company, has a new site. Want to see how we’re inventing smarter ways to bring energy to the world?
The Houston Technology Center (HTC) began operations in 2000. HTC combines the technology development and manufacturing capabilities of our wireline well logging and MWD formation evaluation product lines. The integrated science, technology development, and manufacturing organization conforms to ISO 9001, and BASEEFA EN 13980 standards.
The facility contains an environmental testing laboratory for the simulation of extreme downhole temperatures, pressures, and vibrations. World-class flow loops simulate multiphase flow in vertical, deviated, and horizontal wells for wireline and MWD instrument testing. A fluid characterization lab has test formations that contain real and artificial rocks to simulate productive and nonproductive formations. Four tanks are available for testing resistivity instruments.
