Baker Hughes, a GE company, has a new site. Want to see how we’re inventing smarter ways to bring energy to the world?
The Baker Hughes Russian Science Center (BARSC) was established to advance reservoir evaluation technologies through cross-disciplinary studies and access to a diverse pool of scientific expertise. Situated near the city of Novosibirsk, BARSC is located on the same site as the central research center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SBRAS).
By virtue of this location, our scientists and researchers working at BARSC collaborate with several large, well established scientific institutes and thousands of other scientists with wide ranging expertise – allowing for a multidisciplinary approach to technology projects. That cooperation extends beyond the SBRAS institute to other scientific entities and universities in Russia and the United States.
In addition to the advantages of this framework of collaboration, BARSC offers excellent opportunities for students and young scientists. Baker Hughes offers scholarships to students enrolled at Novosibirsk University and operates an internship program with the potential for future employment. Dissertations prepared by BARSC scientists are presented to the top academic councils.
