Baker Hughes, a GE company, has a new site. Want to see how we’re inventing smarter ways to bring energy to the world?
We conduct drill bit research and development at The Woodlands, Texas, drilling laboratory, which is equipped with advanced drilling simulators. Research includes PDC cutter technology relating to drill bit and wear part applications. Our research entails surface engineering, elastomers, ferrous metallurgy, mechanical failure analysis, and rock mechanics.
Artificial Lift Research and Testing We conduct research and development for artificial lift systems at our facilities in Claremore, Oklahoma. These testing facilities improve electrical submersible pumping (ESP) systems reliability and progressing cavity pumping (PCP) systems under extreme downhole conditions. They also address monitoring and automation technology to help you optimize production. Test facilities include flow loops for multiphase fluids, high-temperature, viscous, and abrasive fluids.
