The ever-present change and demands of today’s business environment raise inevitable questions and concerns among employees. The Baker Hughes Organizational Ombuds Office – the o3 – was designed and developed with input from Baker Hughes employees as an additional resource to encourage communication and to support our core values of integrity, teamwork, performance, learning, and courage. The o3 provides independent, neutral, informal, and confidential services for our employees to discuss workplace concerns. From clarifying a policy or procedure to planning and practicing for a difficult conversation, Ombuds listen, provide guidance and work with employees at all levels of the organization. These conversations with the Ombuds are confidential. The o3 and the Ombuds do not disclose to any person, including supervisors, management, leadership or external parties, the names or identifying information of a person working with the Ombuds. The only exception to confidentiality is if an Ombuds determines an imminent risk of serious harm to people, property or resources.
