Overview

Kantori™ in-bit power & dynamics mapping from Baker Hughes combines direct in-bit measurements with advanced analytics to provide a clearer understanding of drilling behavior at the exact location where drilling performance is generated. Powered by measurements from the MultiSense™ Vector sensor, the solution captures critical drilling dynamics that conventional downhole tools often cannot observe directly.

By measuring vibration, weight, and torque at the bit, the solution removes many of the assumptions associated with traditional drilling analysis and provides a more accurate view of drilling efficiency and performance limitations.

More complete downhole understanding

Kantori in-bit power & dynamics mapping combines high-frequency downhole measurements with cloud-based analytics to evaluate how energy is transferred through the drilling system. Engineers gain visibility into weight transfer, torque transfer, vibration behavior, and other factors that directly influence drilling performance.

The resulting insights help identify sources of inefficiency, validate drilling models, improve parameter roadmaps, optimize bit and BHA design, and reduce the risk of drilling-related failures. By providing a more complete understanding of downhole behavior, the ecosystem enables more informed decisions that improve drilling efficiency and equipment reliability.
