Druck Named Manufacturer of the Year Runner Up at Prestigious Manufacturer MX Awards
Druck, a Baker Hughes business and industry leader in pressure measurement technology and instrumentation, was named Runner Up, Manufacturer of the Year, at the prestigious 2022 UK Manufacturing MX Awards on Nov. 17, 2022.
As well as being shortlisted for five awards, Druck walked away from the glittering ceremony at Liverpool’s Exhibition Centre with the second-most coveted award, the Manufacturer of the Year Runner Up.
“This award reflects the extraordinary talent and dedication of every single person across our global business,” said Gordon Docherty, vice president of Druck. “As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we’re proud to be recognized as one of the UK’s most innovative, customer-centric and advanced technology manufacturers.”
The judging panel, who visited Druck’s headquarters and conducted a rigorous assessment of its operations, said they were “impressed with Druck’s effort, energy and investment, as well as the way the business actively involves its staff, sharing data widely and in real time across the organisation.” One of the judges commented that Druck is, “a business with a deep technical understanding of its innovative sector and customer requirements.”
As well as collecting the Manufacturer of the Year Runner Up, Druck was also shortlisted in five categories:
- People & Skills
- Product Innovation & Design
- Smart Factory
- Supply Chain Excellence
- Young Manufacturer of the Year.
Organised by The Manufacturer in partnership with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), the MX Awards are widely considered the gold standard for the manufacturing industry and are the only peer-reviewed and judged programme of their kind.
