Overview
Real-time reservoir insights are essential for drilling optimization and well placement in harsh, high-temperature formations. The TRU-Image™ HT high-definition ultrasonic Imaging service from Baker Hughes delivers these insights in the form of detailed, data-rich ultrasonic images that reduce drilling risks and place the well for optimal production.
An integral part of the TRU-Litho™ HT azimuthal enhanced reservoir evaluation service, TRU-Image HT incorporates a range of imaging technologies that provide value to drilling and subsurface teams.
The service provides drillers with high-definition ultrasonic Images of up to 64 sectors in real-time, enabling sharper visualization of borehole features such as fractures, vugs, dip structures, and faults. The images enable more detailed, real-time analysis during drilling for faster corrective decisions on wellbore placement and stability.
The subsurface team uses TRU-Image HT’s logged data as input for deeper geomechanical analysis in various Baker Hughes software tools. In our JewelSuite™ software, the high-resolution images aid reservoir navigation, while ultrasonic and density measurements enable geomechanics updates while drilling. Our RiskGuard™ service uses TRU-Image HT’s enhanced wellbore visualizations to identify and interpret potential wellbore instabilities, providing corrective solutions to minimize nonproductive time, mitigating borehole breakouts, and maintain optimal rates of penetration.
