Overview

Conventional reservoir navigation and logging tools often fail in harsh, high-temperature reservoirs, leading to incomplete data, unreliable reserves estimates, imprecise well placement, and reduced production rates.

The TRU-Navigation™ HT multilayer mapping while drilling service is designed to deliver unmatched formation insights in high-temperature environments. Using multipropagation and azimuthal resistivity measurements, the service enables precise reservoir navigation, accurate multilayer formation mapping, and optimal well placement, thereby improving production at lower field development costs.

With its best-in-class 45-ft depth of detection (DOD), the TRU-Navigation HT service is the only deep azimuthal resistivity tool that brings increased reliability and improved measurement accuracy into high-temperature environments.

Boost measurement accuracy and resolution

The TRU-Navigation HT service includes newly engineered antennas with flexible spacing options for improved accuracy at longer spacing or higher resolution at shorter intervals.  The service combines bulk multipropagation and azimuthal propagation resistivity measurements across multiple depths, frequencies, and attenuation levels to provide a comprehensive resistivity measurement system.

The service’s highly accurate, high-resolution measurements support accurate look-ahead and geostopping to avoid shale exposure, improve wellbore stability, and enhance drilling efficiency—all of which help deliver the well to target at lower risk and costs.

Ensure durability in the harshest conditions

The TRU-Navigation HT service operates reliably at temperatures up to 175°C (347°F) and pressures up to 30,000 psi, thanks to corrosion-resistant housings and heat-tolerant electronics that help ensure faster access to high-quality data in demanding drilling environments.

The service’s reliable, high-temperature operability helps optimize well placement within the hydrocarbon column, resulting in a higher net-to-gross ratio, maximized production, and increased recovery potential.

Improve reservoir navigation

The TRU-Navigation HT service features several design advancements that enhance your understanding of the subsurface. Industry-leading DOD and 360-degree azimuthal resistivity measurements around the wellbore make TRU-Navigation HT the only tool to provide the deep formation insights for accurate geosteering at temperatures up to 175°C.

By delivering detailed, reliable measurements in extreme environments, TRU-Navigation HT reduces reserves uncertainty, improves well performance, and extends a well’s production plateau—all while minimizing early water or gas breakthrough.
