Overview

Don’t let your shallow water reserves stay stranded. Shallow water tree systems from Baker Hughes help you monetize stranded reserves with light, efficient, and reliable designs based on an in-depth understanding of your biggest environmental challenges. Whether you face severe weather, subsurface currents, poor visibility, or well operations in commercial fishing waters, our shallow-water trees are designed for ease of installation and operation.

Optimize your jack-up drilling operations

Maximize the safety and efficiency of your jack-up drilling operations with our S-Series trees. Designed for reliability and low-cost installation, lightweight S-Series trees give you flexible configuration choices for field developments in water depths up to 328 ft (100 m), operating pressures up to 6,500 psi, and temperatures between 0°F to 250°F (-18°C to 121°C).

Minimize development costs with flexible tree designs

SVXT subsea tree computer rendering. The Shallow Water Vertical Tree (SVXT) features an innovative, fishing-friendly barrier design that blends horizontal and vertical tree technology and removes the need for a separate tree cap. The SVXT uses crown plugs that reduce CAPEX by eliminating a swab valve. This design also reduces overall system height by 30% and provides a 20% savings on weight compared to conventional vertical trees. And with its simplified installation process, the SVXT reduces the need for divers and ROV interventions, giving you significant cost and operational advantages over a fixed platform or semisubmersible drilled well.

SHXT subsea tree computer rendering. Our Shallow Water Horizontal Tree (SHXT) integrates the latest technologies to help lower installation and operating costs. The SHXT can be run with a high-pressure riser for fast and efficient installation of the completion. The design also provides easier access for wells where frequent downhole interventions are expected and flexible downhole functions for chemical injection and intelligent completions.
