Government's role in accelerating innovation

The most recent US election caused incredible disruption, which brings out this key theme of disrupting the status quo. Disruption and innovation go hand in hand. We need to disrupt in order to make a significant impact, and we need to be resilient in this challenging environment to bring about efficiencies and cost effectiveness.

The government is also a key player when acting as a positive role in accelerating innovation. We need to allow innovation to flourish, and utilize data and analytics on this transformational journey. Institutional collaboration is also important (the opening of GE's Global Research Center in Oklahoma is an example of building strong relationships as well as local investments).
