Neil Gilmour

Vice President CP Integrated Gas, Projects and New Energies, Shell

Neil Gilmour is Vice President CP Integrated Gas, Projects and New Energies and has been on-seat since May 2016. Before joining CP, Neil led the Upstream/Integrated Gas (IG) part of the BG Group Integration Team. Previously he was Head of Development in Shell’s IG Organisation (2014-2016). 

Neil is a seasoned business executive with extensive global experience. Since joining Shell in 1986 as a Geologist, he has worked internationally in Exploration, Petroleum Engineering, New Ventures, Commercial, M&A and Integrated Gas. He spent the first decade of his career in technical roles leading large technical projects and teams. The latter part of Neil’s career has been in business leadership roles, including leading the PetroChina Strategic Alliance (2008-2009), the Upstream International Restructuring Team (2009), the Shell Floating LNG Programme (2010-2012) and integration of the fourteen Upstream and IG countries during the Shell-BG combination (2016). 

Neil is Scots, married and has three sons. He lives in The Hague and spends his spare time with family and friends travelling to wild places, watching live music, taking photographs, drawing and cycling.
