Baker Hughes Appoints Alexander Peng as Vice President Tax

HOUSTON, April 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Baker Hughes Incorporated (NYSE: BHI) announced today that Alexander Peng, 39, will be appointed Baker Hughes' vice president tax effective May 1, 2011. In this position, he will be located in Houston and will report to Peter Ragauss, senior vice president and chief financial officer.

"His record of high performance within the tax arena, coupled with the breadth and depth of his nearly 20 years of taxation practice, will be of great value to Baker Hughes as we continue our international investment and growth."


Mr. Peng has most recently been the vice president, taxes for SPX Corporation.  Previously he was with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was a director focused primarily on tax advisory services for global manufacturing companies in industrial products and aerospace industries.  Early in his career he worked at Arthur Andersen in a variety of tax advisory roles where he served global manufacturing companies and private equity firms.  Mr. Peng is a C.P.A. and holds a graduate degree in Taxation from the Charles H. Kellstadt School of Business at DePaul University in Chicago, IL and undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Finance from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
