HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 26, 2001--Baker Hughes Incorporated (NYSE:BHI)(PCX:BHI)(EBS:BHI) announced today that Derek Walden, 44, has been appointed president of its EIMCO division. The EIMCO division is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah and is a leading supplier of process systems for the physical separation of materials and the treatment of water and wastewater. EIMCO encompasses one of three product lines, which comprise the company's process segment, which was recently reclassified as a continuing operation of Baker Hughes.
Since 1997, Mr. Walden has served Baker Hughes as executive project director of Project Renaissance, the Company's business process redesign and SAP implementation. Prior to that, Mr. Walden served as vice president-finance and chief financial officer for Hughes Christensen. He has held a variety of other financial and operations management positions with both Hughes Christensen and other divisions of Baker Hughes in the United States, Latin America and Africa. Mr. Walden earned a master of arts degree in modern languages from Oxford University and is a chartered accountant, the UK equivalent of a certified public accountant.
