HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 18, 2001--Baker Hughes Incorporated (NYSE:BHI)(PCX:BHI)(EBS:BHI) announced today that Wil Faubel, 45, has been appointed president of Centrilift, the company's electric submersible pump business, effective immediately. Mr. Faubel replaces Joe Brady who has retired from the company.
Mr. Faubel, a Baker Hughes employee of 24 years, started with the company as a field engineer for Hughes Christensen in 1977. Since then he has held a variety of sales and management positions in both domestic and international regions. In 1994, he was appointed vice president of marketing for Hughes Christensen and has helped propel that business to record levels of profitability. Mr. Faubel received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Southern Methodist University.
Michael E. Wiley, Baker Hughes chairman, president and chief executive officer, commented, "The experience Wil has gained from his accomplished tenure at Hughes Christensen will serve him well in his new position at Centrilift.
