Electrostart Switchboards - Overview

Delivers industry-leading ESP control and protection

Baker Hughes Electrostart™ switchboards are full voltage pump panels specifically engineered for use with electrical submersible pumping (ESP) systems. Electrostart switchboards include a fused disconnect, vacuum contactor, control power transformer, and protective motor controller housed in an outdoor enclosure with separate high- and low-voltage compartments.

The Baker Hughes family of switchboards provides application-specific solutions.

  • Electrostart SP: Standard functionality, rated up to 3,600 volts.
  • Electrostart 3300: Full featured with the GCS motor controller, rated up to 3,300 volts. Optional equipment is available.
  • Electrostart 4800: Full featured with the GCS motor controller, rated up to 4,800 volts. Optional equipment configurations are available.

The Graphical Control System (GCS) is the common digital operator interface found within the Electrospeed™ and Electrostart family of products. It is easy to use and program for special applications. The GCS motor controller becomes the interface hub: it records, logs, and communicates data from the switchboard panel, optional downhole gauge, and field instrumentation via a flash card, laptop, SCADA, or Baker Hughes AMBIT™ ESP monitoring service.
