Overview

High gas‑liquid ratios (GLR) can limit ESP performance—causing gas interference, unstable operations, and reduced drawdown. The Boosted GasSep™ gas separator from Baker Hughes improves gas‑liquid separation ahead of the pump, enabling more reliable ESP operation in high‑gas environments.

By expanding ESP capability into higher‑GLR applications, the Boosted GasSep helps maximize production while extending system run life.

 

How it works

Boosted GasSep enhances conventional gas separation by optimizing internal flow paths and increasing internal pressure within the separator. This design minimizes free gas at the pump intake—helping stabilize flow and improve motor cooling, even under variable or severe gas conditions.
