Baker Hughes TOLAD™ conductivity improvers—also known as static dissipaters—safely dissipate the electrostatic charge that builds up when gasoline, jet fuel, or diesel fuel is transferred, minimizing the risk of a fire or explosion.
We have cost-effective products that improve the conductivity of refined fuels at concentrations of only a few parts per million. Our improvers prevent ignition of volatile fumes that may be present.
As refiners worldwide decrease the amount of sulfur in fuel to improve air quality, the natural fuel conductivity also will drop. This is another reason why fuel conductivity is becoming an even more critical issue.
