Technical Data Sheets
Baker Hughes, a GE company, has a new site. Want to see how we’re inventing smarter ways to bring energy to the world?
Our CoPilot™ real-time drilling optimization service delivers enhanced wellsite efficiency, reliability, and borehole quality. Experts engaged in proactive processes and intervention techniques improve your drilling process.
Minimize drilling risk
The CoPilot service is the fastest way to optimize performance with minimum investment risk. Real-time downhole data are shared between the rig and your office. Your well is delivered at a lower cost-per-foot with minimized NPT through detailed planning and risk analysis.
Meet critical production targets on time and accelerate learning based on the data. Use the data for early detection and resolution of drilling problems, such as drillpipe fatigue, twist offs, and high local doglegs. You can apply this knowledge to improve future projects.
Improve wellbore quality
A comprehensive array of sensors generates a clear view into real-time downhole conditions. The information is presented on a rig-floor display or sent to your office through our BEACON™ collaboration centers.
The modular CoPilot sub can be positioned anywhere in the BHA, depending on drilling application or logging requirements. This data improves wellbore quality through less wear on all BHA and string components. This also offers reduced torque and drag losses, higher lateral reach, improved log quality, and a higher success rate in casing/completion operations.
Address critical drilling challenges
Our CoPilot service delivers a comprehensive digital drilling record for detailed post-well analysis. This facilitates the development of best practices. With a clearer picture, bit and drilling system selection is improved.
Typical service applications include high-end deepwater and extended-reach drilling projects and challenging interbedded or complex well formations. This service also enhances drilling performance in existing fields with minimized NPT; also, there’s minimized impact when introducing new technology into the drilling process.
