Solutions for tracking drilling fluid in the pits and for accurate flow monitoring are available to detect major well-control issues, wellbore stability problems, and errors in surface-pit mud movement. Using advanced predictive software, we ensure a well-controlled operation and optimal drilling performance.
We monitor and record mud pit levels on a 24/7 basis. Recognizing a change in volume is crucial for kick and lost-circulation detection. It is also important for tracking drilling fluid at the surface, verifying mud movement between pits, and the addition or removal of fluids and chemicals.
We provide a variety of flow monitoring solutions, from quantitative coriolis type sensors to more qualitative sonic or paddle type return flow sensors. Delta flow monitoring measures flow to provide the most accurate indication of variations caused by lost circulation or influxes from the formation while circulating. Monitoring at the wellsite helps detect potential hazards.
Efficient fluid hydraulics while drilling is essential to the successful completion of a well. Problems such as wellbore instability, stuck pipe, kicks, and lost circulation can be caused by a poor hydraulics program. We monitor hydraulics in real time with proprietary software to ensure each program is optimized.
