Oxygen measurement in hospitals
During the COVID-19 pandemic, hospitals in the UK faced increased oxygen demand, exposing limitations in their existing pressure-based monitoring systems. To improve accuracy and emergency preparedness, the NHS deployed Panametrics clamp-on gas flowmeters—specifically the TransPort PT878GC and GC868 with CRS 402—on medical copper pipelines carrying pure oxygen from cryogenic tanks.
