Overview

As an oil field is produced, the reservoir pressure declines. Over a period of time, the pressure becomes insufficient to lift the fluid to the surface. When natural lift becomes insufficient, artificial lift methods are employed to lift the fluid, allowing additional flow.

There are several different forms of artificial lift that have been developed and optimized for different operating conditions.

Choosing the most efficient artificial lift system is critical to maximize production in your field. You should analyze the operating depth, production volume, operating temperature, and fluid properties when selecting an artificial pump method. As the world leader in artificial lift technology, our electrical submersible pumping (ESP) systems provide solutions to maximize your production performance.

Our ESP systems perform in previously impossible well conditions, producing well fluids in even the following extreme environments:

  • High temperatures
  • High gas
  • High viscosity
  • Abrasive
  • Corrosives
  • Highly deviated horizontal wells

The selection of the components in the ESP system is performed through the AutographPC™ software, the industry recognized standard in sizing software. The well profile, fluids, and reservoir productivity data are the input for the program, which, when combined with the expertise of the technical teams, allows us to provide you the solution that best fits the needs your specific field.
