Overview

All FATHOM™ XT chemicals undergo a stringent design, testing, and certification process to confirm that deepwater subsea performance, chemical cleanliness, and system compatibility standards are met. The certification process incorporates 16 different laboratory tests based on standards recommended by the findings of the Blockage Avoidance in Subsea Injection and Control Systems (BASICS) Joint Industry Project (JIP) –– and published in API specification 17A TR6 — to confirm that each chemical product is qualified for reliable subsea application. The tough qualification process means that you can rely on FATHOM XT deepwater chemicals to mitigate flow assurance and asset integrity challenges in virtually any deepwater production environment.

Meet performance, compatibility, and stability standards

FATHOM XT certification confirms capillary and umbilical stability to help prevent the potentially severe economic consequences of plugging and/or production upsets. Both low- and high-temperature stability and high-pressure deliverability are confirmed.

Compatibility analysis reduces the risk of unexpected interactions with metals or soft materials that might occur during injection. Manufacturing the chemicals using an ultra-clean process meets AS4059 Class 8 B-F requirements and maintains chemical quality and purity. Risk management is further enhanced through demanding training and offshore competency assessment programs for members of our chemical service teams.

Fit-for-purpose treatment programs can be designed and implemented based on your specific operational needs.
