Get assured well control and fluid loss management after perforating with the eXtreme™ drillstem testing combination valve (XDCV™) from Baker Hughes. Combining the performance benefits of a tester valve and circulating valve in a single tool, the XDCV delivers reliable fluid circulation and shut-in capabilities under the extreme conditions of ultradeep wells.

One valve, multiple benefits

Rated to 30,000 psi at 425°F (218°C), the XDCV incorporates the robust features of a pressure-operated testing valve, including a rugged metal-to-metal ball sealing system, HP/HT ratings, low nitrogen surface charge pressure, and downhole reference capture. The XDCV’s circulating valve combines a metal-to-metal seal with an elastomeric seal in a patented hybrid sealing system.

The entire tool is annulus pressure operated.  A sequencing interlock system between the valves allows only one valve to be open at a time, which reduces operating times and minimizes the chance for operational error.  Simple pressure sequences let you select which valve opens after closing both valves, allowing flexibility in the planned number of flow and shut-in periods.

The XDCV also gives you infinite cycling capability, with the option for selective cycling on demand. The valve includes a reference chamber that can handle any fluid weight changes, with no limits around pre-charge requirements.

The XDCV's enhanced debris resistance helps to improve reliability in your sand control completions. An available reference reset feature allows short-trip perforation surge capability in the same trip as the tubing-conveyed perforating run for added efficiency.

These features combine to give you highly reliable, pressure-tight sealing for maximum shut-in and unparalleled differential unloading assurance at elevated temperatures and pressures.
